Digital Photo Frames are slowly taking over the conventional photo frames as they allow you to add number of photographs at a time and can be changed automatically. Samsung Electronics America introduces its slimmest digital photo frame namely, Samsung 700Z.

And this photo frame by Samsung offers an excellent image displaying quality. Whether it would be its gorgeous design or displaying high quality images, Samsung 700Z offers the best. And this made Samsung 700Z to receive a Consumer Electronics Show 2010 Innovation Award.

According to Young Bae, director Display Marketing, Samsung Information Technology Division, what makes Samsung 700Z more special is the fact that it can be used as a monitor for smaller desktops too.

Samsung 700Z has got fold-able “L” stand with an ultra slim active matrix OLED panel which allows you to use it as a monitor. With the dimensions of 9×6.6×4.6 inch, 700Z is the slimmest digital photo frame designed by Samsung so far.

With a 7″ AMOLED display of 1024×600 pixel wide screen resolution, 700Z offers 180 degree view angles. And it comes with an internal storage capacity of 4GB, multi card readers, USB and speakers to play audio files.

Samsung 700Z features DLNA licensed technology which lets you sync this digital frame with other mobile photo or video devices to enable seamless sharing.

Samsung 700Z is one killer digital photo frame with deadly looks and its capability of being used as secondary monitor makes this multipurpose device more desirable. It is expected to hit the markets by March with a price tag of around $300.

There are times when it’d make life a lot easier if lights would just come on.  Be it because you usually have your hands full in that area or any other reason, it’d just be nice.  Now this little motion sensor won’t turn on all the lights in the room, but it will turn on a small light to help you find your way.  Plus it could be used as a security device, so you’ll know if someone is moving around where they shouldn’t.

We’ve all heard that we need to unplug our electronics entirely instead of just turning them off.  That way all of those small lights on your devices are completely off as well.  Of course even knowing that information, sometimes you just forget.  Then on top of it that means later on you have plugs lying on the floor to plug back into the wall.  Instead of that mess you could use one of these that makes it so that the outlet itself is turned off.

You do still have the issue of having to remember to turn off the outlet.  However, it’s one less issue for you to worry about.  The more convenient it is to be eco-friendly the more likely you are to do all of the right things.  These outlets were designed by Daun Yun and Junil Choi, so that does mean that it is still at the concept point.  Of course it would be a little obnoxious to have only one plug in on the switch.  However, if it were turned into a double switch it’d work out nicely.
