Samsung Galaxy i7500 in White Coming Soon

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Announced by Samsung in only one color version (black), the Android-powered Galaxy i7500 will apparently have a white version too.

The white Samsung Galaxy has just appeared in some live pictures at the::unwired, together with the rumor that it will be launched by O2 in Germany, and by other carriers across Europe.

Apart from the different-looking case, the white Samsung Galaxy is similar to the black version. Which means that it features a 3.2 inch HVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack and Android 1.5 OS.

A new color for the Galaxy i7500 is definitely good news, but we’re more curious about that Samsung Galaxy Lite i5700 – hopefully, Samsung will unveil it soon.

Bell Mobility has announced the availability of Samsung Link, enlarging its line-up of QWERTY-equipped phones and smartphones to 11 different models, hence becoming the Canadian mobile carrier with the highest number of such devices.

Samsung Link is offered by Bell for $19.95 with a 3-yr agreement, or for $219.95 with no contract.

The first 10,000 buyers can personalize the new phone “with free decals designed specifically for the Link.”

Feature-wise, the Link offers A-GPS, Bluetooth with A2DP, MP3 player, Web browser, 1.3MP camera, 30MB of internal memory, and MicroSDHC card support (up to 16GB).

According to the latest reports, Canadians send about 77 million text messages per day, so a new messaging phone – and especially an affordable one like the Samsung Link – is bound to be successful.

Samsung Galaxy Lite i5700 Coming Soon?

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Although there are no official details about this at the moment, Samsung is surely working on other Android phones besides the Galaxy i7500.

Take the Samsung i5700 for example.

It recently got the Wi-Fi certification, under the name of Samsung Galaxy Lite – so there are many chances for it to run on Android.

Since it’s a lite version, this smartphone will probably have fewer features than the Galaxy and, thus, be cheaper. Well, at least it has Wi-Fi.

The Galaxy Lite may be a

3G-less phone

for the emerging markets. However, we can’t know for sure, so we have to wait for more info about it to show up – let’s hope it won’t be long until this happens.
